What are the basic foundations of 'free market'? The market should be free to decide the prices of goods. No one should be able to dictate or influence quantities and prices of goods coming in the market. Entry in the production and market should be free for any one to compete. Shall we say this is happening in the present market conditions? NO. Industrial goods are coming with tags of brands, patents, trade marks, etc. The prices of these are decided not in market but in factories of monopoly producers. They are privileges people who receive protection under patent and other monopoly laws passed by Congress. Agricultral products do not enjoy this privilege. Their prices are decided in the market. That sector is very close to 'free market' concept. Industrial products are controlled by monopoly laws. If free market concept in true sense is implemented, the capitalism would not survive. Free market would bring down prices as a trend and profits would be lower regularly and production would be stopped by monopoly producers and over time they will close the industrial units permanently. This will get converted into small production units which would exist not for profit but for living. This is as per natural laws. Man-made laws are creating monopolies. Refer any textbook on economics to find true meaning of "free market". Present day economists are telling half truth when they say world economy is working on free market concepts.

Anyone who understands what a free market is already knows the US market has been increasingly unfree of government interference. Unfortunately, the general public doesn't seem to understand this and how rolling back the shenanigans will benefit them personally in the long run.

We need a series of clever commercials to get the word out.

Now to add insult to injury Obama decided to direct Geithner to get bonus money back from AIG Executives. Unconscionable! Legal contracts entered into freely by private parties being violated by government in the name of the collective. What next?
