Hey there,

What Would Ayn Rand Say About The Current Financial Crisis? I am sure this is a question that you guys have been asking and discussing over the last 18 months and I am sure you are aware that it is one many Americans have clearly wondered, given the recent resurgence of sales of Rand's novels. As such, we sat down with Yaron Brook, the Director of the Ayn Rand Institute to discuss these and other topics. You can find the complete interview on our site today. I hope you enjoy and that you'll pass it along and share it with your readers and other Rand fans.

Ayn Rand's philosophy mirrors that of Thomas Paine. How about a topic titled "Thomas Paine"?

Hello there,

I signed at the website for updates and I can tel u it is real pleasure and interesting to read various views, over the period I have been following the news religiously.
What I see here is a dedication meaning something and leading somewhere. I have been a mad fan of Ayn Rand's works and still exploring and learing her philosophy, and sned across links to people I know who might be interested seriously into reading the application for her philosophy in real life.
Keep up the good work, the bolgs always makes sense as rightly expected.

I am very much enjoying and benefiting from the weblog "Voices for Reason."

I have one minor layout suggestion to make, based on past experience as a publications manager.

The welcome, now in the upper right corner of the weblog is very important for first-time visitors (Objectivists or not). You could enhance that welcome _and_ make the top of the page more appealing by placing the photo now used with the Douglass lecture at the _top_ of the page, perhaps under the "Welcome" title, and accompanied by your name. (There is no reason the photo can't appear twice.)

That way, (1) a _person_--a healthy, happy, attractive person--is welcoming visitors, and (2) you take advantage of the fact that photos are one of the two most attention-getting elements of a published page (the other being a bold headline).

Whatever you do with this suggestion, I thank you and your fellow weblog writers for the work you are doing.

Hi,

Congratulations on getting a blog!

I have a suggestion. You should license your blog under the Creative Commons license. If you're not familiar with Creative Commons, it is a series of public licenses that grants explicit permissions for anyone to reuse your content under various conditions.

Depending on the particular license you select, this will allow others to (for example) display the RSS feed of your blog on other sites, or repost your blog posts. I think you will find this to be good for your incoming traffic, your search engine visibility, and for getting a wider exposure to your ideas.

There is a list of licenses here: http://creativecommons.org/about/licenses

Thanks and good luck!

Do you plan to link to other blogs in the side column of your blog page? Most blogs that I've seen have interlinking for exposure. For example, you could link to NoodleFood, simply Capitalism, Principles in Practice, and/or The Rule of Reason, among others.
