I had assumed most people would have understood that a country simply can not stand for an outside force taking "potshots" at its citizens. Israel has shown tremendous restraint - restraint not earned from its enemies. I also question "innocent civilians" that vote Hamas to a majority of seats in its parliament. I was embarrassed to see protestors here in Toronto in front of the Israeli Consulate accusing Israel of brutality and war crimes. Not a single person has ever demonstrated outside of the Palestinian Community Centre over their unprovoked attacks on Israel.
