Dear Sir,
I agree with everything you said... except that GM's executives were quite incompetent. That is, theyw ere smart people individually, but the corporation is very in-bred. It has (or at elast had) a culture where everyone spent their whole lives at Gm, lived Gm, and breathed in the heady atmosphere of Detroit. This is not good for modern companies who may face radically new challenges every decade. Waggoner, in particular, made huge mistakes in his strategic direciton for GM.

Once again, I emphasize I don't disagree. The union and government nonsense devastated GM and constrained its potential. Unfortunately, GM's so-called leadership hardly made the best of their situation.

Alex,

Thank you for all of the great work you're doing in defense of capitalism. You're one of the few clear voices for freedom in the media speaking and writing without contradiction. It's a great country if we can keep it. Regards,

Hey man. What did you mean when you said "contra Keynes, we're all not dead"?

I know who Keynes is, but I don't understand the reference. Maybe I just don't know enough about him..

I know you are strongly against Keynes' economic beliefs, and so am I, but what specifically did he say that gave that aside meaning?

Great article. Looking forward to the rest.
