My previous comment was sent (or lost) because the page just reset itself. but, the core of that post was: where were you when Judge Sam Alito (at his hearing) made the statement his immigrant origin influenced his legal decisions - or does come into account in his decision? What did you say, then?
Talking double standard! or BS politics?

Kudos on your remarks on the Sotomayer nomination. It's a sad day when a vice (or, at best, self-confessed limitation) is regarded as both inevitable and a superior quality in a SCOTUS pick. Though we both know there is little likelihood of Sotomayer not being confirmed, it's always important to speak the truth. One never knows what beneficial effect it may have down the road. Thank you for saying it.

Respectfully,
Jeff Perren

Forget the Supremes, shouldn't her lack of objectivity and impartiality preclude her from the bench on any level? Saying yes to Sotomayor's philosophy puts our whole nation's judicial system into peril and chaos.

Wow!
Yesterday when i read on the news, I was thinking how is it relevent that she is Latino, which was emphasized in the article. After reading your article I'm horrified, makes me through up. I'm Lithuanian and been living in soviet union all my life untill it broke and I came to US. It is hard to imagine to me how most americans don't see where is this country going. It is very sad.
Thank you for your writings!
With respect,

Not only is she not qualified to serve on the Supreme Court, she is unqualified to serve on any court. I hope as you follow this story you will research her past rulings and expose her injustices. Thanks.
