Who is paying for Obamacare?
Obamacare is the largest expansion of government power in almost fifty years. The law further collectivizes health care spending (an increasing trend in the last 70 years), so that everyone is paying for everyone else’s medical care through a series of bewildering wealth transfers that nobody could possibly untangle. An article in USA Today offers some details as to who’s paying for what under Obamacare:
Medical device manufacturers are among the federal health law losers, those that will have to pay up to cover the cost of implementing it. Others include high-wage earners, tanning salons and, in some cases, working parents and folks with big medical bills. The law generates revenue through a hodgepodge of new taxes, financial penalties and IRS rule changes.
