One item you might mention is that no doubt the Obama administration's reluctance to support Iran's brave opposition is the same tired, politically-nuanced excuse that joining the fray gives the mullahs the angle to say "The Great Satan is behind the opposition" and is "meddling in our affairs". This has always been a great reason to say (and do) nothing and I'm convinced those risking death by at the hands of the thugs in Tehran aren't nearly that gullible -- at this late date -- to believe such deflection. In fact, weighed against our full support for freedom-loving people, it's not really even much of a choice: the protesters could always call their bluff. "So what if America is behind us? We'll take them over *you*!" Thanks for the update on this.
