And this comes from a guy that drove a Caprice to 180K and a suburban to 260K. And the suburban is still in my driveway. But the Toyota and my MC and the daily drivers. I don't like Government sticking their nose into anything, and Government Motors crossed the line. Actually pretty damn good imho...especially considering the old 4 cyl malibu (2006) wasn't much better at 21/29. Still I agree with your point. Ditto for Chrysler/Fiat. From speaking with friends and acquaintances, I find that I am far from alone in this. So, with this problem, and the offerings of "Pelosimobiles", I think that not even the government will be able to keep this monumental turkey on life support. The UK tried this, and failed miserably. In other words, they are already discounting and subsidizing a car that is suposedly the new flagship vehicle and is still more then a year away from showrooms.
