It sounds like a "big one" was dodged. I can't imagine any intelligent person could support such a doctrine. Just the words "Fairness Doctrine" bother me. My parents taught me as a child that "live isn't fair". It'a almost as though society at large has abandoned that notion and the "right to fairness" trumps the right to freedom.
