Do you remember that bit in Atlas Shrugged when Wesley Mouch is whining, "It's not my fault I needed more powers." Well, this talk that the American economy wasn't really pro-capitalist and that Greenspan was actually opposed to laissez-faire markets reminds me very much of that scene.

I wonder if somebody in the Ayn Rand center might be so good as to direct me to complaints they made that Greenspan didn't "advocated genuinely free markets for decades" when Bush was giving him medals for his economic policy.

Absolutely. And "too big to fail" is destruction, not preservation, of the system (the free market). It preserves only the established order, as perceived by politicians and their lackeys, the macroeconomists.

To me, this sentence sounds like we should argue against Ayn Rand, and against Von Mises. I know I must be mistaken, but can you make it a little more clear? Thanks.
"Please, anyone who wants to have an intellectually clear debate about our predicament and how to answer it, stop associating Greenspan with the free market and argue against real free-market thinkers such as Ayn Rand, Ludwig Von Mises, and those who apply their principles today."
