You might add the chilling effect it has on ALL of the employees (not just the company spokesmen) who are discouraged officially and unofficially from contributing to debate on political issues. I work for Eli Lilly and I&#039;m certain that if I wrote the kinds of articles I&#039;d like to write, I&#039;d either have to use a pseudonym or put myself in a firestorm and likely get gagged. I don&#039;t know what percentage of people work for companies large enough to have similar policies, but I think its a huge issue.
